MAC False Lashes Mascara

ascara has never really been that important to me. However, recently, I've really enjoyed it. Before, I would usually just buy drugstore mascara. To me it seemed like they all worked the same, so it didn't matter if I spent $6 on it, or $20. They never really worked that well though, so I decided one day to splurge. I had heard great things about MAC's False Lashes mascara, so I ended up purchasing it without really thinking it through. I don't regret buying it though, because it's amazing. It's probably my favorite mascara I've ever purchased. It retails for $19.00, but I think that it was money well spent.

Without Mascara

With Mascara

Side View (Ignore the eyelashes I missed)

Pros:

  • Makes Lashes appear thicker and more voluminous.
  • Although the up-close pictures makes it look like it is clumpy, from afar they look like they could be fake eyelashes.
  • Lengthens.
  • Super long lasting. (Lasts literally all day)
  • Doesn't Flake.
  • Good wand.
Cons:

  • Retails for $19.00
  • Not enough product on the wand. (It takes a while to thouroughly coat your eyelashes)
Overall, this product is great! If you are looking for a mascara that will not flake throughout the day, this is perfect. I've never had a problem with this mascara. I will definitely be repurchasing this. I rate this product a 4.5 out of 5.

Bobbi Brown Tinted Moisturizer - Oil Free

've never really had zits. Occasionally, I'll get a few here and there, but they're usually gone within a couple days. That being said, I've never really had to cover much. My skin is kind of blotchy though, so I still need a tiny bit of coverage. I used to use powder, but then I heard about Tinted Moisturizers. A tinted moisturizer is basically a moisturizer with a little bit of color in it. It's very light coverage, which is perfect for anyone who doesn't get pimples, but still wants to even out their skin tone. I've tried so many different kinds of TMs, but I never really loved any of them, until I bought Bobbi Brown's!

Pros:

  • Comes in either the original product, or Oil-Free
  • Contains SPF 15
  • Heavier coverage than most TMs
  • Leaves skin looking flawless, with a natural glow
  • Wears all day (Even in the summer)
  • Blends easily into skin
  • Comes in a variety of colors (Which is rare for tinted moisturizers)
  • Applies evenly
  • Doesn't break me out (However, I can't speak for everyone.)
  • Tons of product, even for the price
  • You only use the tiniest bit, so it lasts forever
Cons:

  • Retails for $40.00

Overall, I couldn't be any happier. This is, by far, the best tinted moisturizer I've ever tried. The only downfall to this product is the price. I can't think of anything I don't like about this product. I am definitely buying this again! I definitely recommend this for everyone, because, even though you may be a little skeptical about the price, you surely get your moneys worth! I would give this product a 5 out of 5.

    MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack

hen I first started wearing eyeliner, I used pencil. That was the case for a long time. Then, I decided to try Bare Escentuals' Buxom Lashliner. I used that for a while...and then I realized that it was terrible. It starting drying out in the container. I read up online for the best gel eyeliner, and MAC's Fluidline was one of the top results. I bought it, and I've loved it ever since! It retails for $15.00 at MAC, which isn't too bad compared to the Bobbi Brown Gel Liner. I will never go back to pencil eyeliner because of this product. Read more to find out why I love it so much.

Fluidline in Blacktrack (Without a primer/base)
Product after rubbing it with my finger
    Pros:
    • Long lasting (Above photo: I rubbed the product with quite a lot of force.)
    • Pigmented
    • Easy to apply
    • A little goes a long way
    • Lasts for a long time (I've had mine for 5 months now and it seems like I've barely made a dent)
    • Pretty packaging
    Cons:
    • Expensive (For some people)
Overall, this product is amazing! It's my favorite makeup item I own by far. I would recommend this to anyone who wants their eyeliner to stay all day. I give this eyeliner a 5 out of 5!

MAC Studio Moisture Tint SPF 15

y skin has always been clear, so I only ever use tinted moisturizers. A tinted moisturizer is basically foundation mixed with a moisturizer. However, tinted moisturizers have no where near the same coverage as a foundation. Out of all the ones I've used, they're pretty sheer. I have used a few different ones before, but then my Clinique Moisture Surge ran out, and I decided to try something new. I choose the MAC Studio Moisture Tint with a SPF of 15. It retails for $29.50. I purchased mine from the MAC counter in Nordstrom. Here are my thoughts on this product.

Contains 40ML/1.3 US FL OZ of the product

I purchased this product in the shade Light

    Pros:
    • The finish was really great (More of a matte finish)
    • Good coverage for a TM (Tinted Moisturizer)
    • The color selection (It doesn't really matter if you get a shade too light/dark because it usually blends in really well)
    • The amount of product for the price
    • Moisturizing (Believe it or not, I've tried TMs that were drying)
    Cons:
    • Broke me out!
I loved this product so much! However...I got zits! I was so disappointed, especially since this was my favorite tinted moisturizer I've ever tried! Although this product is great, I wouldn't recommend it, despite how well it works. If you're looking into purchasing this, I would try a sample first.

Overall I'd give this product a 0 out of 5, just due to the fact that it broke me out. If it hadn't have done that, I'm positive I would give it a 5 out of 5!

Sigma Flat Top Synthetic Kabuki Brush

absolutely love this brush! If you're looking for a great foundation brush, look no further. The Sigma Flat Top Synthetic Kabuki Brush is amazing. At first I was hesitant to try a Sigma brush, despite all the good reviews. But one day I finally decided to give it a try. I needed a new foundation brush, one that would buff in my liquid foundation rather than streak it on. I heard that the Sigma F80 was great for anything, and it is! I can apply my liquid foundation with this and after buffing it in, it looks very natural. I also use this for applying loose powder, bronzer, blush, and occasionally concealer. This brush does it all. I'm not exaggerating. Also, its bristles are super soft!

Notice how dense the brush is? This makes it super easy to buff in your makeup.

    Pros:
    • Inexpensive! (Retails for 16.00 on the Sigma website)
    • High Quality
    • Unique (I don't think I've ever seen a kabuki brush like this)
    • Applies makeup wonderfully
    • Extremely Soft
    Cons:
    • Sheds a few hairs after washing (Never anything drastic)
Overall this brush is amazing! You don't even have to spend a fortune for good quality, unlike MAC's face brushes! I would give this product a five out of five.
